St Patrick’s Day name coin activity

For this St Patrick’s Day we did some fun activities in the Mānuka room! One of these was a name coin activity. For this activity we cut out coins and leprechaun pots of gold, and then gave the tamariki a pot of gold and coins with the letters of the names on them. The tamariki had to put the letters in the correct order of their name, using their locker name tag to help them if they needed it. This activity supported the tamariki with developing their letter and name recognition skills, as well as their concentration as perseverance as they worked hard to get all their letters in the right order.
