Puppet Role Play

In the Kōwhai Room we have recently brought some new hand puppets for our tamariki.  These have been eagerly received and explored during our play.  The tamariki have had so much fun using them to interact with one another and create their own little mini role-plays with each other.  It gives them the opportunity to act out different characters and roles whilst engaging in imaginative play and creative thinking with one another.  Using the puppets also has encouraged our tamariki to develop their language skills and learn new words to share with one another, as well as giving our tamariki the chance to explore how to express different expressions.
