The Cat’s Pyjamas Preschool & Nursery is a privately owned child care centre in Rolleston. We offer a safe, warm and nurturing environment for your child. Our facilities are bright, open and spacious, with plenty of exciting equipment and a wealth of resources to keep busy preschoolers engrossed. We are open 50 weeks of the year, Monday to Friday from 7.30am through to 6pm.

The Cat’s Pyjamas Preschool & Nursery is committed to providing care and early childhood education of the highest quality, with high staff:child ratios. Our commitment to quality is reinforced by a well-resourced core curriculum which considers and challenges all aspects of a child’s learning and development.

We believe working with children in age groupings is the most conducive to learning. Our Centres are divided into the following groups:

The Nursery, Preschool and Prep School programmes are based on the principles of Te Whaariki – the Early Childhood Curriculum. This reflects the holistic way children learn and grow, focusing on the individual child and their relationships to the world around them.

Our experienced, caring and well qualified staff have a vision and a passion for delivering a stimulating learning programme, which is child initiated. Children are free to choose activities, both planned and spontaneous, and are encouraged to try as many activities as possible. All our activities are child-centred allowing children to have fun while encouraging the development and skills of each child and building pro-active qualities in initiative, self-discipline, self-confidence and positive achievement.

The Cat’s Pyjamas Preschool & Nursery is pleased to be offering parents up to 20 Hours ECE per week for all 3 and 4 year old children.
