Immunisation

It is strongly recommended that all children are immunised. When a child is enrolled at the centre you will be asked to provide evidence that your child has been immunised.

  • Proof of immunisation is required on enrolment. A copy of your child’s immunisation certificate must be attached to the enrolment form or staff at the centre will cite the child’s immunisation records from their health record book and take a copy as proof that they are immunised for the immunisation register kept on all children at the centre.
  • Parents are required to advise the Centre when they update their child’s immunisations.
  • If you have chosen not to immunise your child, we reserve the right to exclude your child from attending the centre if there are any instances or reporting of people infected with vaccine preventable diseases in the local community. We will work with local medical authorities, the Ministry of Education and the Department of Health to determine the period of exclusion. Parents must provide the Centre with a letter stating that they will not hold the Centre responsible if their child contracts a disease. If an outbreak of a communicable disease occurs, their child will need to be removed until there is no risk of them contracting the illness. During this time normal fees will be paid.
