Dropping Off & Collecting Children

Please take note of the appropriate ‘Way In’ and ‘Way Out’ driveways into the centre. The speed limit inside the car park is 5km/ph. We ask that parents park in the designated areas.

Parents are asked to ensure that gates and doors are closed behind them at all times. Never leave a child at the gate and have them walk in alone. Whenever you drop off or collect your child please acknowledge this with a staff member. When children are being collected, we will only release the child to a parent or person stated in writing on the enrolment form.

Children being driven to and from the centre must travel in a car seat or restraint in accordance with traffic regulations.

Roll Book

It is essential for parents/caregivers to sign the roll book and record the time that they drop their child off and pick them up again. This is a legal requirement. The roll book is located in the entranceway of each school. Signing the attendance register confirms that a child has attended that day and their parents charged accordingly. Most importantly, the rolls are used for security and in the event of an emergency.

Smoking

Smoking is not allowed on the premises of The Cat’s Pyjamas Preschool & Nursery. All areas inside the centre and the surrounding area within the fence and car parking are considered smoke free zones.
